It’s been almost 2 years. Don’t do it. Functionally, it ruins things. Does the shape look pretty? Does it turn out like chin filler? No. Chin filler is injected evenly while balancing each contour. You’ve seen implants, right? They’re inserted by making only the area under the mandible look longer. Would the shape be the same as filler? Of course, since it only lengthens the area under the mandible, the balance is terrible, and the overall shape isn’t good. And why is the function bad? Chewing is uncomfortable. You can think of it as feeling like you’re living with a sandbag attached under your chin. If you keep using things like straws, the cobblestone chin wrinkles get worse, so eating or drinking anything through a straw is annoying. And the problem is, you can’t really drink alcohol. Once inflammation happens, it’s a disaster. There was a time I drank alcohol 5 times in a row, and inflammation flared up. I was so anxious I couldn’t sleep. It was crazy. It barely settled down, but even though it was a small inflammation, since then I’ve been too scared to drink whenever I drink alcohol. It’s so uncomfortable that you can’t live your life. Don’t get silicone for a recessed chin. Let’s do filler instead. I’m going to have mine removed.
