I looked into alar reduction surgery and had the procedure. I had also heard that the results of alar reduction can change drastically depending on how the surgery is done, and once you have the surgery you can't go back, so I went to consultations at several clinics and decided on a place that did not push overtreatment and also paid attention to postoperative follow-up care. In the first week after surgery, there was swelling and the scar was severe, so I still didn't think it had turned out well, but as I approached week 3, I could see it gradually changing, and people around me also told me it was good that I had done it, so I started taking photos often. The alar width definitely became smaller, and the incision area has also faded a lot. I didn't have extremely high expectations, but the shape of my alae and the shape of my nostrils became really so pretty, and I feel like the alar size finally fits my face, so I'm satisfied.
