[Bulbous Nose Surgery] Review from a man in his 20s after 6 months

*Nose condition before surgeryThe nasal bridge was high, but the nostril wings were wide and the nasal tip drooped, so from the front it looked like a bulbous nose, and from the side I wanted to improve the drooping appearance, so I had surgery.*Surgical detailsRaised the nasal tip using septal cartilage as material, tied the alar cartilages, corrected the bulbous nose, and inserted silicone. I didn’t decide on the exact number of mm and asked them to insert it to suit my nasal tip.*Surgical preferenceThere are natural/glamorous/natural-glam options, and even when getting nose surgery, side-view improvement tends to be greater than front-view improvement, but since I wanted improvement from the front too, I showed reference photos of cases I didn’t want, where the nasal tip looked upturned or became like that, and asked them to raise the nasal tip as glamorously as possible without reaching that situation. Also, since nasal tip drooping can appear as time passes after surgery, I asked for it to be glamorous.*Surgery timingLate October 2023 (8 months elapsed as of now)*Things I felt after surgery1. Symmetry of nostril shape is impossible. - It was originally asymmetrical, but as the nasal tip was raised, the asymmetry looked worse, and when you have surgery, you end up paying a lot of attention to your nose and get stressed. I think it’s better to just let it go and enjoy the side profile and the improved front view.2. Columella deviation. - When you get nose surgery, swelling in the left and right nasal ala does not go down at the same time, so swelling remained on the left while the swelling on the right went down, making it feel a lot like the columella was crooked. Friends and family around me also often said it looked crooked when they looked at the columella, but I think you need to wait at least 3 months to assess that situation. For me, after more than 3 months, the swelling went down on both sides and I didn’t really feel that it was crooked anymore.3. Inconvenience. - Whatever you do, whether sleeping or exercising, you end up thinking about your nose first. If your nose gets injured, you have to have surgery again, and the recovery period is uncomfortable too, so I couldn’t ignore that. When sleeping, I can’t sleep face down and have to always live consciously so my nose doesn’t get pressed. But because I’m satisfied with my nose, these inconveniences don’t feel like a big issue.*ClosingIt’s not too late even if you think about it for a long time before doing it, so even if you think you should get nose surgery, it’s better to research well yourself and then have surgery. When consulting with the doctor and consultant, if you don’t know the nose terminology and surgical methods well, even if they explain kindly these days, you won’t be able to shake off your own anxiety, so I think it’s best to study well yourself before doing it.I hope everyone searches online and visits clinics thoroughly, and gets a pretty and handsome result from a good director~
