Donated costal cartilage can be done with a closed approach too?? I did my consultations and even finished surgery at the clinic~

For anyone looking into closed rhinoplasty, please use this as reference!!! My nose was one where I kept hearing that my septum was small every time I went around for consultations So every clinic recommended using costal cartilage together during surgery, and it was basically decided as if it were almost obvious(?) that the surgery would be done with an open approach Every night I looked through clinic reviews and researched, and then I came across reviews of people who had rhinoplasty with a closed approach at this clinic I still hadn’t firmly decided on my nasal graft material, so I went for a consultation thinking I should at least hear what they had to say The consultation was similar to other clinics Reception > CT + photo shoot > consultant > director doctor (we tried virtual simulation) > consultant, in that order Here too, the director doctor said the same thing: because my septum was small, using costal cartilage was unavoidable So just in case, I asked the doctor, “My nose can’t be done closed, right?” and he said, as if it were completely obvious, that it could be..... At other clinics, they had firmly said my nose had to be done open, but here they said it was possible, so at first I became really distrustful;; The doctor said both donated costal cartilage and autologous costal cartilage could be used, and if autologous costal cartilage felt burdensome, we could use donated costal cartilage together with septal cartilage to correct it naturally And while explaining, he also ran the simulation with me When I saw photos of people whose noses were similar to mine, even though they had done it with a closed approach, the nasal bridge and nasal tip shape clearly changed, and most of the conditions I wanted lined up, so I ended up having surgery at this clinic If anyone wants closed rhinoplasty like I did, definitely consult with Chief Director Dr. Oh Seung-il!!! He finds the right method well too For the bridge, no implant was used; it was raised with cartilage particles, and for the nasal tip, donated costal cartilage and septal extension were done together to lengthen the nasal tip Before surgery, I kept looking at reviews from other clinics too, and people seemed to feel really stuffy breathing at first, but maybe because I had taping on, it wasn’t very hard for me to breathe..!! I had bought a humidifier, but I never turned it on even once Still, walking around with taping on was a bit much;; so when I went for walks, I wore a hat After 3 days, the taping is removed, and at first the clinic told me to remove it myself, so I was worried, but while looking in the mirror and peeling it off gently, it was manageable Unless it’s for a progress check, going back and forth to the clinic is quietly annoying, so this much seems fine to do alone! What I felt after having surgery here is that you don’t absolutely have to use an implant for the nasal bridge.... About 1-2 mm can be achieved with cartilage particles too, so if you don’t want an implant, definitely consider this part too, and if you have costal cartilage done by a nose-specialist doctor, a closed approach is also possible, so I hope you look into a really wide range of surgical methods before getting surgery When I was researching online, I didn’t know much about this surgery either, but I thought leaving even one review might help, so I’m leaving this review!
