I’m 2 weeks post-op after my third nose surgery

About 10 years had passed since my first nose surgery, and I didn’t have any major complaints about the overall shape, but I kept being bothered by how the bridge of my nose looked crooked, so I decided to have revision rhinoplasty. But after the revision, my nose shape actually became much worse. Originally, even though the bridge was slightly wide, it still had a slim look, but the boundary between the nasal tip and bridge disappeared, making the whole nose look blunt, and my facial image changed a lot too. When I was going around clinics for revision rhinoplasty, I was repeatedly recommended costal cartilage, but I thought I didn’t have major complaints about the height or shape, so I went ahead with ear cartilage, and I think that was the problem. The clinic where I had the revision kept saying it was only because of swelling, and aftercare and communication weren’t good either, so I felt even more anxious. So for my third rhinoplasty, when choosing a clinic, I placed the most importance on expertise and aftercare. It did cost a bit, but the idea of having a lifelong attending doctor at a plastic surgery clinic gave me confidence, and in reality, the director personally keeps checking my progress. They also seemed to have a lot of experience with autologous costal cartilage surgery. Like the reviews said, the swelling and bruising were much less than during my revision, and after about 1–2 weeks, I could do all normal daily activities, including going to work. Since I didn’t increase the height, it looks natural enough that everyone doesn’t even realize I had surgery. (In my case, I also emphasized wanting a natural look.) The parts that made my nasal tip look bulky and the part that looked like a crooked nose have improved a lot, and since there is still a little scar tissue and swelling left, I think I’ll need to keep watching that.
