First, to talk about my nose, its shape wasn’t extremely strange, but it was a bit small compared to my face, and more than anything, I barely had any nasal bridge. So whenever I took photos, my face always looked a bit flat, and when doing makeup, I really worked hard with highlighter to try to make my nasal bridge stand out. Personally, I like a style where the nose looks defined on the face and the nasal bridge has presence, but that kind of nose seemed almost only possible with surgery..? But I’m seriously such a scaredy-cat… I absolutely can’t do nose surgery
Then, ahead of my wedding photo shoot, while I was looking into procedures little by little, like trapezius Botox and lip filler, I found out about “nose thread lifting.” When I looked it up, there was basically no recovery period, it could slightly create a nasal bridge, and even if I didn’t like it, I thought the risk would be lower than surgery, so I chose a clinic that uses dissolvable threads and went ahead with it!!
Because I was worried just in case and I’m a scaredy-cat, I did it in advance 2 months before the wedding shoot, but thinking about it now, I regret so much that maybe I should’ve done it a little closer to the shoot.. That’s really how much I love it
On the day of the procedure, I was surprised because it ended much faster than I expected. I went in almost without waiting, and the procedure time was about 10 minutes? The anesthesia does hurt, but it’s not unbearable! Afterward, I could go right back to daily life. I thought the aftercare would have to be super strict too, but actually there wasn’t that much to do. They originally said I should put on Medifoam and keep applying ointment, but I didn’t even have Medifoam, so I just put on acne patches for about 3 days and applied only Fucidin before sleeping haha because I was lazy...
I had the procedure on Friday and went to work on Monday, and a few female coworkers said things like, “Huh? Something changed,” “You look somehow more defined!” But? Everyone said they couldn’t tell exactly where or what I had done, so I felt proud by myself inside lol. That’s how subtle and natural the lift felt!!!
Now it’s exactly day 7, and honestly, I’m really so satisfied. The nasal bridge near the glabella used to be so sunken that it was almost nonexistent, but that area has been naturally filled, so my facial impression looks much more defined. Before, I really worked hard with highlighter to make my nasal bridge stand out, but now my nasal bridge has presence even without it. Even when I take selfies, my face somehow comes out looking clearer, so I keep taking more photos for no reason.
I didn’t even request a specific design, but it feels like the empty nasal bridge was filled in just beautifully, so I’m even more satisfied.
So my personal score is!!! 90 points~~ The maintenance period is about 6 months, so that’s a bit disappointing, but the procedure time is so short and there’s almost no recovery, so I think I could do it again without much burden. For little effort and little pain, the satisfaction is quite high, so I think it’s totally a great deal. If my budget allows before the main wedding ceremony, I want to do it one more time!!
