I had revision rhinoplasty using reused autologous costal cartilage from my previous nose surgery. I was worried that they might have to harvest more, but they said it hadn’t been absorbed much, the material was in good condition without inflammation, and it could be reused. (I had the surgery at ㄹㄱ Plastic Surgery. Director Yoon didn’t over-treat and really considered things from the patient’s perspective, which I really liked.) The overly done areas from the glabella area down were improved well. It’s been 3 months, and there are no abnormal reactions in my nose, and it seems to have settled well. The swelling has gone down a lot compared to the beginning too. Since it was a revision surgery, I thought it might swell more or hurt more, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I just hope contracture doesn’t happen. It didn’t happen before either, so I’m just firmly believing it won’t.. lol After getting the surgery, I really thought I should have done it sooner.... I don’t think it was like this before, but my nasal bridge was crooked... and it kept feeling uncomfortable Something felt off in many ways.. lol That strong feeling that something was wrong... What I felt after surgery is that the nose is really, really. extremely important. Maybe because my nasal bridge was too high from the glabella and looked unnatural, it also gave a masculine impression... My whole impression had changed a lot, so I was distressed, but thankfully the progress after this revision surgery has been good. The nose I wanted was this kind of straight-to-slightly-curved nose. So at the first hospital, I asked them to make it glamorous, but it turned into a very unnatural Avatar-like nose; I thought it was swelling, so no matter how much I walked, did warm compresses, and ate every food that’s good for swelling.. lol it stayed the same~... I guess revision surgery was the answer^^ I hope everyone researches hospitals carefully before getting rhinoplasty. Even if you use autologous costal cartilage for a glamorous result, it really depends on the hospital..~~
