I had correction for a hump nose and arrow-shaped nose, plus nasal tip elevation. I think the implant is L-shaped silicone. At first, I didn’t really think much about my nose, but when I went for a double eyelid surgery consultation, the consultant said my nose would probably look pretty if I got it done too, so I got tempted and did my nose too... I regret it. Why didn’t I look into it properly? I just spent money for nothing.. It was originally fine, but after the nose surgery, I actually developed an obsession/anxiety about my nose... I don’t have any abnormal symptoms yet, but whenever I see videos on social media about nose revision surgery or posts saying side effects from nose surgery are inevitable, I get so stressed that I just want to have everything removed. Also, I already had rhinitis, but it got worse after surgery. I can’t even wipe my runny nose hard with tissue, and sometimes the mucus runs down and gathers at the nasal tip like a teardrop, which makes me feel so ugly... So I want to remove the implant, but I’m not dissatisfied with the surgical result itself, and the doctor who did it is famous and has a long career. Also, when I looked it up, hospitals known for removal usually quote at least 3 to 4 million won, and I’m a student so I don’t have money.. For reasons like that, I’m thinking of doing it at the hospital where I had my first surgery. So what I’m curious about is: 1. If the total removal surgery goes well, does that mean contracture won’t happen in the future? (Living with peace of mind is my top priority..) 2. Since I had hump nose correction, if I remove the silicone, will my nasal bridge become too low? (I don’t know whether osteotomy was done or not.) 3. What do you think about not going to a removal-specialized hospital and doing it at the hospital where I had the surgery...? 4. Would surgery be more difficult and cost more if I remove it after side effects occur, rather than removing it now when there are no problems?
