Today I stopped by the hospital to get swelling treatment and have a consultation since I was going to the movies. The time was 7:30, so it was a bit tight.. Even on Christmas Eve today, there were people getting surgery at the hospital, you know? ㅎㅎ;; Anyway, since I went today, I asked everything I was curious about. First, the double eyelids... I kept asking about this eye and that eye, saying they seemed uneven, and so on.. The doctor said he intentionally made the eye corners that way.. Since the right eye is higher than the left eye, he made the inner corner of the left eye and made the right eye a little more toward the front than the center. He said they were still swollen, so once the swelling goes down later, both eyes will look the same, and if I still think they're different, he would do a partial correction. I felt relieved.. And about the red bumpy flesh sticking out under the eyes after the inner corner surgery... I asked about that too, and he laughed and said of course it would go away, so don't worry.. Whew.. what a relief.. Then... about the face... first he told me to stop pressing on the cheekbones. He said to keep pressing for about 3 weeks after surgery, but since it still hasn't been 3 weeks, after checking today he said I shouldn't press them anymore now.. And he said the swelling has also gone down a lot... Ah.. and the cortical bone thing I asked about then... haha;;; I had that done too. He said if you do a three-dimensional jaw surgery, cortical bone work is naturally done too ㅋㅋ I didn't even really know what surgery I had.. ㅡㅡ; Was I stupid? Well, I left the jaw and cheekbones entirely to the doctor and didn't worry about them at all.. I was the one who only talked endlessly about double eyelid consultation...ㅎㅎㅎ That aside, when I asked why the jaw swelling isn't going down at all, he said it takes 3 months... for it to go down completely.. I kept sighing because it really takes a long time, and then the nurse said, "Unnie, from now on it'll go down noticeably, so don't worry," and smiled.. I'm such a simpleton... and I instantly melted at that and went, "Really? +_+" I got swelling treatment. Because of the high-frequency treatment, my jaw is still hard. It feels like the muscles are knotted up?? Anyway, it's hard. They said the eye swelling takes about a month and a half.. From some members' posts, I saw that after cheekbone surgery you're not supposed to eat things like meat, so I asked about that. I still eat pork belly wrapped in lettuce and stuff.. Then they said it's fine as long as it's not too hard or chewy.. I really look forward to how I'll look after the swelling goes down.. Queen of simplicity..^^v It's a battle with swelling. I said I'll be going every day starting next Monday to get swelling treatment. I think that should help it go down a bit faster. Oh right.. they said even if you wear the compression bandage too long, the swelling won't go down, so wear it for an hour and then take it off for two hours. Keep doing hot compresses too.. Still, after talking with the doctor, I feel so relieved. I think I'll upload progress photos again in about 3 weeks. I think you'd be curious. Lastly, everyone... Merry Christmas~!!
