Nose Surgery Reviews

Satisfied after repeat revision surgery for Rudolph inflammation nose

The problem started after the revision surgery. During that revision surgery, silicone had been used all the way to the tip of the nose, and it burst because of inflammation, so the tip got really bad. Before the second revision surgery, the tip of my nose was red like Rudolph because of the inflammation, and it looked like someone had pressed it down hard. After looking into it, I heard that for cases like mine, where severe inflammation and contracture have progressed, there are even cases where revision surgery is not possible at all, so I was really nervous until the consultation for this surgery. That second revision surgery had also been done at a fairly well-known hospital, so I no longer knew what to look at when choosing a clinic, and I could not even trust reviews anymore;; So I had no choice but to spend a lot of time doing my own legwork I think I searched for a hospital for surgery for three months. Still, the good thing was that the more consultations I had, the more objectively I could understand my current situation, and I also developed a sense for which hospitals to avoid ㅇㅇ Up until the revision surgery, I had chosen hospitals just because they were famous and the consultation was not bad, but once I learned the basics of nose surgery and got a clearer direction for the operation, I was able to choose the hospital at the end without much worry. The doctor looked at my CT images and said that the nasal bone itself was very asymmetrical, so they recommended 3D silicone. As long as my nose shape could be restored, I was willing to do anything, so I decided to have custom silicone made to fit my nasal bone and use that. If they had simply said I needed 3D silicone without any other explanation, I might have thought they were overrecommending it, but they explained in great detail what the current condition inside my nose was like and what kind of surgery would be needed to get results, so it made sense. And because the tip of my nose had a lot of scar tissue and the skin had become very thin, we also decided to use donated dermis. Even I could see that the skin condition at the tip of my nose was very poor, so I had already been considering using dermis. The doctor honestly said it was a condition where surgery could not proceed right away, so I underwent 5 sessions of PRP and stem cell treatment before the surgery. The more procedures I had, the softer the nasal tip became compared to the beginning, and the skin condition improved... Finally I had the repeat revision surgery, and because the progress was good, I’m posting photos too. Honestly, I thought it would be enough if only the flattened shape was restored, but the line and shape were designed to suit my facial features so well that I am extremely satisfied. And as the doctor said, having custom silicone made to match my nasal bone was probably the best decision. Thanks to that, it seems to be staying well without any recurrence of inflammation.
