I had the tape removed today. It really hurt when they took the tape off. Even my hair was stuck in it, so several strands of hair got pulled out with it....ㅡ I asked why they used strong(?) tape instead of wrapping a bandage, and they said bandages don't provide much support. Anyway, after taking the tape off, I feel much more alive. The swelling also seems a bit down compared with yesterday... They said the swelling goes down quickly for about a month. Since about 70% of the swelling goes down, I think my facial contour will only start showing after about a month. I'm going to avoid looking in the mirror for a few days. It's too depressing... They said the stitches will be removed next Saturday. Starting today, they told me to use warm compresses. Doing compresses and disinfecting inside my mouth every 2 hours is so bothersome... >.< But is it possible to do square jaw surgery and facial liposuction at the same time? The hospital where I did mine said it was dangerous and wouldn't do it... For me,, when they did square jaw surgery, they removed the cheek fat on my face (buccal fat), but they said doing liposuction on the fat under the chin at the same time is dangerous. They said it's because of swelling. Even jaw surgery alone causes a lot of swelling, and if facial and chin liposuction are also done, it swells severely and can cause breathing difficulty. So they said facial liposuction is an area that needs especially careful attention, so they don't do it together with jaw surgery. (At the hospital where I did mine...) But I guess facial fat removal and liposuction are different? They said if I want liposuction for the area that comes down from the face to the chin, it can be done 1 month after square jaw surgery. They said we could watch the situation and do it if I want... But now I don't want any more surgery. I hate anesthesia now too, and I have no money...
