I had surgery last Saturday... I'm going to get my stitches removed tomorrow.. Honestly, I think I look seriously awful. The swelling seems to have gone down to some extent, but the bruising isn't fading at all.. it's exactly the same on the fourth day. Cold compresses, warm compresses.. I'm really doing them diligently.. but the purple bruises show no sign of going away. The bruises are getting bigger and bigger.. and even my eyeball has become bloodshot with bruising. After surgery.. I started smoking from the next day. Could it be because of that?? They say smoking after nose surgery is really bad.. Even though I know that.. when I look in the mirror, I feel frustrated because of my bruised face, so I end up smoking again Starting next Monday, I have something really important... Will it get better after the stitches are removed?? For reference, I had double eyelid surgery a year ago.. Back then.. I came home after surgery and smoked right away.. and after a week I put on makeup, drank alcohol, and went around. The swelling went down quickly too.. and the bruises disappeared quickly.. My nose and eyes are so different... I'm so worried
