My nose isn’t low, but I was stressed about my wide nostril wings, so I only had alar reduction. Opening up the nose has too many side effects, so I only touched the alar area, which seemed relatively safer. The clinic also advised against other surgeries. The scarring was much less than other people’s, and the alar width definitely decreased, but the asymmetry still remained. They said an AS revision could not be done at the same clinic, so I paid for one side only and had revision surgery. The result was a huge success. I was being greedy, but the symmetry came out just right, so I was really happy. Even with alar reduction, you can end up needing revision surgery. Be careful with any kind of nose surgery…
