It’s day 17 since I had my collapsed septum reconstructed with autologous costal cartilage. On day 14, I had the stitches removed from the autologous costal cartilage harvest site, and right now there’s a large scab sitting there, and around the scab it’s red and swollen like a keloid. The hospital says I don’t need to apply ointment, but even if you cut one finger, you apply ointment and put on a bandage, right? I’m asking because I wonder if it’s really okay to leave such a big wound like this. Everyone who had autologous costal cartilage, please tell me how you did aftercare after getting the stitches removed ㅠ
