I had surgery yesterday and came home today, so I’m writing this.

I had revision double-eyelid surgery and facial contouring near Gangnam Station. Actually, 4 months ago I had facial liposuction and saw a huge effect, but lately I felt like I was gaining weight again, so just as I was going in for aftercare, I thought I should get facial contouring done too. I hadn’t planned on getting double eyelids, but somehow it ended up happening. At first they said facial contouring and liposuction could be done together, but suddenly on the day of surgery they said it seemed they couldn’t do them together because of swelling. The reason I chose this place, even though there are hospitals that are better at facial contouring, was because I thought if I got the facial contouring while getting liposuction aftercare, I could avoid the hassle of having surgery twice, so honestly I was a bit annoyed.ㅡㅡ Anyway, since the doctor said so, I decided to do the facial contouring first and then see how the swelling goes down before doing liposuction again. After the surgery ended and I woke up, wow, I had no idea it would be this hard. They had put in what I think was a urinary catheter or something, so I felt awful and uncomfortable, my face hurt everywhere like crazy, and there was a tube connected inside my mouth to drain blood... I really just wanted to die right then.ㅡㅡ I regretted it so much, thinking, why did I put myself through this suffering, my face wasn’t even that bad, I must have really been out of my mind. After they removed the urinary catheter and I went to the bathroom, I felt a little better. So although I woke up often, I did sleep, and in the morning I tried to eat porridge... but it wouldn’t go down. But there’s something I’m curious about. My face isn’t extremely swollen, but the swelling is different on each side. When I was about to be discharged, the nurse said that because the swelling on both sides was different, just in case, I should do cold compresses for 30 minutes before leaving.. I did that and came home, but when I looked in the mirror, one side was especially swollen. Is there something wrong with this.. And they said absolutely no alcohol or smoking for 3 weeks. Alcohol, fine, but smoking too. Do I absolutely have to avoid it? The hospital says if I drink or smoke, inflammation will happen 100%...... I think that’s going to be a bit hard. Lastly, the hospital gives you mouthwash, right? But the mouthwash is so disgusting. It’s not the kind of mouthwash we usually use; the color and taste are like some kind of red antiseptic. They say I have to rinse often, but even doing it once makes me feel like I’m going to throw up. I received two bottles that huge, and just thinking about using them makes everything go dark in front of me. Is all mouthwash given by hospitals originally like that?? Is it just the hospital I went to, or are they all like that.. Also, can’t I replace that mouthwash with another one sold at the pharmacy.. Ah. During the surgery and afterward too, everything really feels hopeless... Anyway, I’m really regretting it.. I had no idea it would be this hard.
