Removal of a conjunctival nevus

At some point, a yellowish dot-like spot appeared in my eye.

I thought it would go away, but it kept getting bigger...ㅠ

So I visited an ophthalmology clinic and was told it was a conjunctival nevus, something that commonly appears on the eye the same way a mole appears on the skin.

Fortunately, it does not harm eye health, and if it does not cause discomfort, they said it does not have to be removed.

But when I look at people and talk to them, having a spot in my eye makes my gaze look dull... So I decided to remove it.

I paid about 200,000 won for laser removal and had it removed.

During the procedure, they fixed my eye like in a vision test and shot the laser about 50 times... it smelled like burnt squid, and even though they put in anesthetic eye drops, it still hurt...

After it was done, my eye was very red,

and the bloodshotness lasted about two weeks.

I got a prescription and kept using the medicine steadily for two weeks, and the redness went down to some extent.

The spot is not completely gone, but it remains faintly blurred.

They said they would remove the rest for free when I come in for a follow-up consultation,

but it was so painful, and the redness lasting two weeks was pretty severe...

Everyone who saw me kept asking, why is your eye like that??

I do not know whether I will remove the rest...

I got 140,000 won back through my actual medical expense insurance out of the 200,000 won!

Some insurance companies cover it and some do not,

but mine did, fortunately.

My insurer is Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance.
