I only had the front corner surgery~ I had planned to do it together with double eyelids, but the doctor said the satisfaction level would be low because they couldn't expect a big difference from my current lookㅠㅠ So I decided to just do the front corner surgery.. (I’ll reconsider double eyelids after seeing the result of the front corner surgery~) After consulting here and there, considering recommendations, reviews, and reputation, I chose * Hospital in Incheon.. (Due to circumstances, I had to decide on surgery quickly, so it was a bit...) Cost: 80 (they didn't even give me a little discount... even if I paid in cash..ㅠㅠ) The reservation line was backed up, so I waited about 5 days after the consultation before surgery~ * * * * * The anesthesia hurt so much that I honestly can't remember how many injections I got ㅠㅠ (At the time, I thought it was one shot on each side, but now that I think about it, maybe notㅡㅡ;;) For the first 2 to 3 seconds it was bearable, but as the anesthetic kept going in, it really hurt to the point of wanting to die (personal) . It felt very, very hot, like burning pain~ The doctor kept getting angry and telling me to relax the muscles around my eyes, but I was relaxing them as much as I could ㅠㅠ Even during the surgery, it hurt despite the anesthesia, so I kept crying, and after a long back-and-forth with the doctor (relax your muscles~ (I am relaxing them..) don't frown~ (I'm not doing it on purpose) open your eyes~ (even if I want to, they don't open well~) don't cry~ (the tears are coming out on their own..) breathe evenly... and so on), the surgery (cutting~ sewing~ opening and closing the eyes, snip! snip!) was finally finished, and when I looked at the clock, more than an hour had passed;; The last stitching.... it hurt so much I thought I was going to die~ (Inside, I was comforting myself by thinking at least I only did the front corner surgery~) -The doctor kept saying I was unusually sensitive, and I felt so wronged.. It really hurt a lot, okay~?! * Day 1 - It was raining, my eyes were throbbing, and the condition was similar to yesterday. I kept applying eye ointment whenever I could. It still throbbed quite a bit when I put on the ointment. It felt like blood was rushing to the skin around my eyes...(They originally told me to come to the hospital that day, but I overslept and couldn't go, so I went on the second day) * Day 2 - Went to the hospital. They removed the bandage under my eyes and wiped off foreign substances around my eyes with alcohol cotton pads (disinfection) (blood clots, eye discharge, etc.). From now on, they said to do warm compresses instead of cold compresses. * Day 3 - The skin around my eyes gradually started to itch (I believed it was because it was healing). The throbbing also decreased a lot, and the bruising looked darker and more noticeable. I endured it by applying the eye ointment and gently scratching with a cotton swab. Day 4 - The throbbing was almost gone. Instead, it was insanely itchy. I scratched very, very gently with my fingernails (avoiding the area around the stitches as much as possible so as not to irritate it..ㅠㅠ) I also went to watch a movie and to an internet cafe.. Since I hadn't washed, maybe that made it even itchier... I endured the itching with very warm compresses. Day 5 - It feels like a tiny bug is crawling around the skin near my eyes. Because of the itching, I did compresses (thanks to that, a lot of the bruising disappeared). To distract myself from the itching, I enjoyed movies, games, etc. Day 6, today - When they removed the stitches, it felt refreshing because of all the itching so far (it itched much less.) Still, it stung a lot and tears kept pouring out.ㅠㅠ (Procedure time: under 10 minutes.) * Personal thought 1 - When choosing a surgery hospital, I think it's really best to consider a place that is close and easy to reach by transportation. In my case, to go to and from the hospital I had to take a bus more than 5 or 6 times (travel time: over 4 hours round trip - taxi fare: over 60,000 won round trip), so going home after surgery and visiting the hospital were extremely difficult (mentally and physically). * Personal thought 2 - Unless you have an extremely high pain tolerance, I think you should definitely discuss the anesthesia during the consultation. The doctor said that if you get very tense during anesthesia, it wears off quickly, but in my case it hurt quite a bit from the start to the end of the surgery and I shed tears. And if the anesthesia wears off in the middle, they apparently don't re-anesthetize youㅠㅠ (Someone I know said they used topical anesthesia and didn't hurt at all..ㅠㅠ) Of course, the doctor's skill and the consultation details are important... but if possible, it would be better if the pain during surgery were less... that way the swelling would be less too and the bruising would be less too.. Question) When should I start applying scar ointment (Contractubex, BENTO, Scar, etc.) for it to be effective? The doctor said they'd check my progress after about a month and prescribe it if needed. Would it still not be too late to apply it then? If it can reduce scarring even a little, I'd like to start as soon as possible... If anyone knows, please give me some advice~
