Hello, everyone. It has already been 9 months since my surgery.
I first had facial contouring 2-procedure surgery (zygoma reduction and square jaw surgery) at the end of 2019.
It was at a hospital in Gangnam. Back then, I did not know much, so I did not really read reviews carefully, and I thought the consultation manager's explanation sounded good...
Maybe because it was a little cheaper...
Without any solid basis, and without properly checking whether they could really match the style I wanted, I ended up setting a surgery date right after the consultation and had the surgery.
But they did not really shave enough, and I already had asymmetry... they did not take that asymmetry into account, and they pushed both sides in with the same ratio, so the asymmetry stayed as it was.
(Only the square jaw surgery was satisfying...) It felt like I spent about 3 more years still living with a bumpy line.
In 2022, after looking into many places again and doing a lot of online and in-person research, I happened to end up at TACO.
Unlike other hospitals, the director's explanations were so planned and detailed, from what would be inserted where and how, to how much would need to be done for the asymmetry to improve, and all the way down to the smallest details. That briefing was what ultimately made me choose TACO.
And the most important issue was safety. Apart from whether the surgery itself was good or bad, I personally was really afraid of anesthesia accidents, the possibility of not waking up, and problems that could happen due to excessive bleeding.
There is a family member at home who has difficulty moving around, so I have to take care of them... I was very worried about the possibility of unforeseen problems.
From the consultation to the day before surgery, and even until I lay down on the operating table, I had all kinds of emotions.
But because of the confidence in safety that the director gave me, I was able to go into surgery with a calmer mind, thanks to him.
They were prepared for anesthesia accidents as well, and I could feel that the director treated me, the patient who came to him, not just as a customer but with genuine sincerity.
Actually, after my first contouring surgery, a few weeks later that hospital had a contouring surgery accident (a death caused by excessive bleeding), and it ended up closing down. So it is true that I was even more afraid of safety accidents.
Anyway, after the surgery at TACO, while I was in the recovery room, my head hurt so badly, I felt nauseous, and I thought I was going to throw up.
That night, my friend came to pick me up... I am also so grateful to that friend. Riding back in my friend's car, I vaguely remember the moment the orange lights in the highway tunnel passed faintly behind me...
Then I got home and fell asleep right away, and maybe because I did my tightening band, antiseptic gargles, and ointment application so diligently from the next day on, I have had no side effects and have been doing well day by day ^^.
For about a month, I remember coughing up a little blood from the sinus area and spitting it out! That also disappeared after about a month haha.
I will upload photos later if I can, depending on the situation.
It still does not seem real... When I touch my zygoma, the stepped ridge that used to jut out is now just gone... It is amazing, really... Before surgery, it was so frustrating...
It was almost like I could go mountain climbing on my cheekbones
I am so satisfied because it seems to have turned out exactly as the director briefed me.
Even with the discomfort during recovery... and the memories of how hard it was until the third day after surgery...
If I could go back to the past, I think I would still get facial contouring surgery again at TACO.
Director Kim Tak-ho! Thank you so much for finishing the surgery successfully. And thank you so much to the nurse who took such good care of me on the side, and to the manager for explaining everything so carefully, one by one! (My assigned manager looks like Haerin from NewJeans and is pretty!!)
This is not a hospital advertisement, and the hospital side did not say anything about reviews. But in my heart, I had been thinking for a long time that I really should write this someday. It may be thought of as a surgery for which I paid a fair price. But even so, I think it is not easy to find a good hospital and a good doctor. Of course, there are other excellent doctors and many good hospitals. Still, since I was able to finish the surgery safely here with a good result... I think this may be the best hospital for me.
I feel like I received kindness from good people, so I am leaving this small review.
For those who are deliberating over contouring, I recommend considering TACO as well ^^ I hope everyone has a happy day.
Thank you for reading:)
Because I was busy with work, I only had the first follow-up CT scan... and I could not go to the second follow-up because I simply did not have time But I am still doing well, and the shape has been maintained beautifully! I am really sorry to the director, nurses, and managers for not being able to go to the second follow-up
