It’s been over 2 years since my first surgery, and inflammation developed around the bridge of my nose, so where the silicone was placed… Judging by the fact that my nasal tip is still soft, I don’t think it’s contracture. After it swelled once in September like an Avatar nose, it has been swelling once or twice a month. Usually, when I took antibiotics, it would go down right away, but this time it isn’t going down immediately. The hospital that did my surgery says they will do an open approach in January to remove the silicone, partially remove the capsule, leave the nasal tip as is, and reposition it so there won’t be a step-off. But I also used septal cartilage in my first surgery, and even though they placed a support strut, my nasal tip is really hard…
