My current nose is short, and when viewed from the front, a lot of my nostrils show. The columella is also deviated, so my nostrils are uneven and it looks like contracture, though some hospitals say it is not contracture. I currently have 3 mm silicone in, but the border area shows through, and my skin is extremely thin. To improve the lifted-looking appearance, they said they would put only 1 mm of silicone on the nasal bridge and create enough skin laxity so they can bring it down. So they use costal cartilage. But after a third surgery using costal cartilage, they said that 12 years later, the skin at the nasal tip might not be able to hold up, so it could become red or bend…
