Now I am on day 23 after rhinoplasty. I had a mild septal area bump corrected, the nasal tip reduced by 4 mm, and the nostril width reduced. Because of swelling of the nasal dorsum and tip with heat, stiffness, pressure, and pain, I am still taking antibiotics continuously. It is now the date to come in for the 23-day progress check, and the doctor said to come then, but given this situation, should the silicone be removed early? I am really worried about many possible side effects and possible contracture symptoms that might occur at an unknown time. I keep feeling like I can’t keep living one day at a time like I’m carrying a time bomb; I regret having had the surgery so much, but if the silicone is removed early, will swelling, pain, etc. improve a bit?
