6 months ago, I had revision rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage. But early on, I didn’t take care of it properly, so I developed inflammation, and after taking medication, it kept getting better and swelling up again somehow, so I just lived with it. But I feel like the silicone keeps sliding down and making my nose look shorter ㅠㅠ So I went in for revision surgery, and they said the implant has to be removed first. Ha... I’m not confident I can live for a few months without silicone in my nose ㅠㅜ But do I need total removal? One place said only the silicone needs to be removed, and the hospital where I had the surgery said that once they open it up, if the condition isn’t good, they might have to remove everything, including the support strut…

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
