Nose Re-Surgery

My nasal septum is small

My columella is very recessed and my nostril wings droop. At other clinics, they looked at the CT and said my nasal septum was small. But I went for a consultation at a clinic, and the director suggested septal extension surgery. So I said, “I heard my nasal septum is on the smaller side?” Then he said it does not matter because they take it from the back of the septum, that they would not be using much, and that it would be fine. He said I actually need to have it supported with the septal cartilage, which is harder than ear cartilage, so that the columella can come down and I will see an effect. Is using the septum really the right choice…?
