For my alar reduction, first of all, even my mom couldn’t tell. There is some redness, but the scar is at a level that can be covered with makeup. It was reduced very slightly, so the difference is extremely subtle. Still, I’m satisfied. For now, it feels like a filler-type procedure that doesn’t interfere with daily life. I did have sedation anesthesia, though. I wore a mask and used public transportation. The swelling lasted about 2 weeks, and during that time my nose looked bulbous. I used to get alar Botox all the time, but I think saving that money and getting external alar reduction is better.
