^^ I work as a nurse at a 00 university hospital, and through friends’ introductions, I had my eyes and nose done at ㅈㅇ and ㅂㄴ in Apgujeong respectively^^ It’s now been almost two months^^ Before surgery, I also looked at this community a few times, visited anti-plastic-surgery sites, checked Knowledge iN, and researched a lot here and there. And my college friends each work at plastic surgery clinics, dental clinics, and various hospitals, so I also asked from the inside which places are good^^ So, as someone whose surgery was successful, I’ve learned a few things from my experience about why surgeries fail, and I wanted to share them. There are so many stories of people whose confidence didn’t improve because of plastic surgery, but instead dropped so much that even their daily lives became gloomy, so I thought this might help even a little. Common reasons surgeries fail 1. Excessive greed Going “just a little more, just a little more,” then revision surgery after revision surgery... 2. Insufficient communication with the doctor Wanting shape A, but not communicating it properly during consultation, ending up with shape B and then needing revision surgery... 3. Delusion.. This is the most serious one.. Plastic surgery directors say this too: “the original base doesn’t change.” My friend said that when a consultation patient brings in a photo whose underlying facial structure is completely different from their own face and asks to look like that, the doctors often feel like saying, “That’s the law of the unchanged base.. please think about your own face before saying that.” In other words, cases where people dream of a look that is too different from themselves and push ahead with excessive surgery.... 4. Hospital choice This is really difficult.. They say that even among directors, they kind of know who is good at surgery, who only advertises but isn’t good at surgery, and so on. According to my friend. So I was at least able to avoid hospitals that can’t operate well, but this is honestly a really hard part to know unless someone in that field is your friend or relative... You had surgery after seeing an ad, but later found out the hospital was completely branded as DOG on anti-plastic-surgery sites... Such an unfortunate situation... 5. Inadequate postoperative care.. This is frustrating in a way.. After paying a lot of money for surgery on your most important face, you just think it’ll probably be okay and go drinking and hanging out with friends around you .... then things get completely messed up.. Hmm.. For now I’ll write roughly this much. There are more, though.. If you avoid just these, at least you won’t fail. In other words! Don’t overdo it, and go in with a light mindset that if surgery makes you better than you are now, that’s enough to be satisfied. Bring a few photos similar to the postoperative look you want, discuss them with the director during consultation so you can accurately explain what shape you want, then from the director’s side, hear whether that shape is possible, what needs to be modified, and what might be better. After that, do exactly what the hospital tells you to do, and for one to two months after surgery, absolutely focus on postoperative care. Then at minimum, you probably won’t need revision surgery. (Of course, for parts that occur due to a unique constitution, I also... And for hospital choice, hmm.. first, hospitals with as few anti-fans as possible, and rather than ads, prioritize hospitals that still have a lot of good talk on clubs or Knowledge iN-like places.) I think this will help, and I’ll post again next time. For reference, I had my nose and eyes done^^
