6 months after cheekbone surgery..

It’s been a really long time since I came in.. I had the surgery to push in the side cheekbones at the beginning of this March.. At first, I was really anxious too.. The swelling went down faster than I expected, but the feeling that the bone was lifting, the sharp pain when lying on my side or chewing, and the scraping sound when pressing it with my hand continued for about 4 months.. Especially on the left side more than the right.. I worried a lot about jowling too.. (actually, I still can’t be completely at ease) But around the 5-month mark, it felt like the bone had completely fused. Even when lying face down, I don’t feel like the bone is shifting, and there’s no sound when I touch it. There’s no problem at all when chewing.. At first, when the swelling hadn’t gone down much, it seemed like I had more flesh on my face, but as time passed, the facial fat settled on its own? I also had Botox for the jaw at the same time as the cheekbone surgery, so overall my facial contour became softer than before.. Of course, because my face was big to begin with, it’s not like it suddenly became tiny, but.. with the cheekbones smaller, I should say the face looks less harsh.. Before, my side cheekbones stuck out a lot, so when I wore my hair down they were even more emphasized and my impression looked very strong.. But now, even if I wear my hair up or down, I feel like my impression is much softer, so I’m satisfied personally, too. I had my wedding at the end of August, and maybe the bridal makeup helped, but my friends were surprised that my face looked half its size.. They all thought I had lost weight.. (actually my weight didn’t change at all) It seems like making the face smaller definitely makes you look thinner.. It feels like the bones have fused well too, and for now.. I didn’t expect a dramatic effect, I wanted a naturally balanced line overall, so I don’t have big complaints.. But sometimes when I read online posts saying that after cheekbone surgery it seems fine at first, but 3 or 4 years later jowling definitely comes, or that some people even get facial paralysis, my heart just drops.. When I send consultation emails to specialists, they say things like that won’t happen and it’s safe.. but if you ask a pharmacist whether their medicine has no problems, who would tell you about side effects in advance? The surgery is already done.. I’m just trying to stay relaxed. If it were a surgery that 100% caused jowling, who would get cheekbone surgery? To everyone who had the surgery, please don’t worry too much either.. But that doesn’t mean you should relax completely either. Facial contour surgery is a major operation that involves the bones, so they say the contour keeps settling gradually for a full year, so take good care, be careful, and wait with a positive mindset.. If you didn’t get operated on by a hack and you don’t have any constitutional problems, then like me, after about 6 months the problems that were worrying you will start getting sorted out one by one.. I personally didn’t do any special care either.. (I ate hard foods, slept on my side carelessly, pressed on it with my palm, and so on.. I stopped using the compression band after a month, too...) I think having a positive mindset is important.. If you really can’t feel at ease, talk to the surgeon who did the operation.. Also, a lot of people send me private messages asking about the surgery cost or the hospital, but sorry, I can’t reply one by one.. I’m busy and don’t come in often... and there are just too many messages, so I honestly can’t keep up.. I don’t think a hospital that worked well for me is necessarily 100% right for everyone.. Look into several places, especially ones famous for facial contouring, get detailed consultations, and choose the one you judge to be the most suitable.. I sincerely hope everyone gets good results..
