The line shown before surgery was exactly the same as my own eye, so I thought, hmm...? Hmm.? If I am going to do it, I want to change a bit Then the doctor explained in really, reeeeally detailed terms why having a line would be better, and the difference between how it looks before surgery and after surgery. He did not just check the line once a day; over several days, he checked it several times, really many times Now that the surgery is all finished, I understand exactly why the doctor said those things back then.... So I was even more surprised. I think I really did well to listen to Director Seo My left and right sides were so different, and one side even had such severe enophthalmos, so adjusting the proportions to match that during surgery was not easy at all (my eyes were very difficult; I had had surgery on the whole bone structure in the past) Even when I said they could stop, that I was already a bit uneven anyway and it was fine if the left and right sides were a little different, he kept adjusting again and again as if he were operating on his own eyes Because the surgery was delayed, it seemed like the nurses or doctors kept talking about the operating room schedule Seeing the doctor insist, with a firm mindset, that my patient comes first and that this should still be done properly;; made me think he is an amazing person Right after surgery, while I was watching the swelling go down, the swelling went down unevenly, so during a follow-up check I asked about it because I was worried He carefully checked again and again and said it looked pretty, it turned out well, and I did not need to worry, so I was like, okay! and was about to go home and wait at the counter, but the director said to come back, and when I looked again, he said he would check once more and really kept confirming it several times While doing that, he truly empathized with what the patient (me) was worried about, and also explained that those things were being felt for these and those reasons (not subjective, but truly reasonable medical reasons), and that there was no problem at all, that the surgery had gone very well, and explained everything to me He explained what surgical method was used, what kind of discomfort could happen because of it, and what it would be like later on, all of it
[Recovery after surgery] Now, exactly 2 months later, my eyes have not changed dramatically after the surgery (it could be my imagination), but my overall impression has changed a lot First of all, I was told that this lateral-lower canthoplasty involves tying and fixing a thread to the inner fascial layer? I do not really know, I forgot Maybe because of that, I got aegyo sal when I smile;;;;;;;; I did not have this before, but now I have aegyo sal, wow, what a gain And the canthoplasty definitely worked, but one eye’s outer corner is still a little attached. Still, my eyelashes cover that area anyway, so it is not a big deal More than anything, the overall left-right symmetry improved a lot, and I was so surprised I had lived my whole life with uneven eyes and an uneven face, but now I do not even need to correct left-right balance in selfies. Can that happen? Unbelievable They matched the symmetry to my uneven face really well........... I always had to do my makeup differently for the left eye and the right eye, but that part is gone I am really, truly grateful I felt this even more after surgery, but Director Seo seems to have caught all the facial features of mine that I did not even know about and designed the line accordingly I used to think all double eyelid lines were basically the same, but they are not.... Eye muscle correction ties the inner muscle and changes the eye shape itself, so it really seems like it absolutely should not be done just anywhere Director Seo definitely seems extremely meticulous and really good at these kinds of details My double eyelid line ended up higher than the one I originally had, but because my eye-opening strength improved, the line visible from the front when I open my eyes is much thinner than before surgery So overall the distance between my eyebrows and eyes got smaller and my eyes became a bit bigger, but the line got smaller More than anything, I did not know that opening my eyes could feel this easy before surgery In the past I would raise my eyebrows when opening my eyes, but now my eyes just lift up smoothly, and it feels so refreshing that I feel like my vision got much better The only disappointing thing is that now it seems I can no longer half-open my eyes sleepily or anything like that Whether I open my eyes less or more widely, I always have a clear impression now. That is very satisfying, but also a little disappointing. I think that will probably change again once more swelling goes down Also, for now, when I wake up in the morning, my face is still puffy until I wash it Everyone around me says the surgery turned out really well. In conclusion, I am glad I had it!! Even so, I want to say that surgery is really not something you should do unless you have a major complex or something you genuinely want to improve It is not a huge change, but it does change a person’s whole impression, so please do not just do it casually. Only people who are clear about what they want and what they value should have surgery
