It's now day 3... I really, really thought about it a lot before doing it. No one around me had had lateral canthoplasty, and I was wandering around relying only on the internet, then I read various posts in a community and chose a clinic.. The clinic I went to used general anesthesia. They inserted about three needles into my arm and anesthetized me.. But what was strange was that even though I was anesthetized, I could faintly hear voices. lololol Anyway, it was scary. After about 15 minutes?? I woke up to the nurse tapping me. I was still on the operating table, and they told me to turn around and get an injection. So, half-asleep, I turned around, got the injection, went to the recovery room, put a cold pack over my eyes, and fell asleep again.. I woke up an hour later, and there happened to be a mirror next to me, so I looked. But it really took courage just to look.. It was scary, you know.. lol They must have cut open my bare eyes... I looked.. and as expected, it was scary. ^^ And I was afraid it would hurt if the cut area opened up, so I couldn't even open my eyes wide. Anyway, I came home like that, and my eyes were completely bruised purple, extremely swollen, the capillaries in the whites of my eyes had all burst so they were bright red, and it was quite a sight. The next day I was going to go to work and lie that I had an eye infection, but with bruising too... lol At work, everyone found out.. well. Even though it's a minor surgery, it's still cosmetic surgery, and I had expected no one would notice the next day. I was pretty bold. Today I went and had the first stitches removed. The bruises are still blue. On Monday, I'm going back to have the final stitches removed. The doctor said he would absolutely make sure they don't reattach, so I'm going to trust him. Everyone, hang in there too. Let's all become prettier.. lolol
