Hehe~ I went in for surgery at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, and I was discharged at 10 a.m. this morningㅎ Coming home, I just felt happy, and since I got a lot of help from members of this community before surgery, I figured it would be only right to post a review too^^ I had my consultation last Wednesday, and had surgery this Wednesday, a week later, but the doctor said it was surprising that a girl who had just turned 20 was having such a big surgery^^; My face shape had been a lifelong complex, and even though I knew nothing about plastic surgery, I was just planning to get surgery right after the CSAT and after my essay exam was overㅎ I had it done at a small place in Seongnam, and with its family-like atmosphere, two of the nurses had also had jaw + zygoma surgery directly with the doctor here, so while I was hospitalized for two days after surgery, we spent the time happily sharing lots of common groundㅎ I’m the type who bruises very easily; back when I had semi-permanent makeup done, the bruising lasted a whole week^^; But surprisingly, even with such a major surgery, I only got a slight bruise at the outer corner of my right eye, and I don’t have much swelling either, so I’m really happyㅎㅎ Because I had zygoma + square jaw + long jaw all at once, it took about 8 hours~ Zygoma: 5 mm Square jaw: 2 cm Long jaw: 8 mm That was how it was doneㅎ My square jaw was originally 3 cm, so they left 1 cm and shaved off 2 cm, and when the doctor showed me the jaw bone that had been cut on Wednesday, he had really cut away a lot in such a pretty way; I felt like I was about to cryㅠ It doesn’t hurt much anywhere, but the hole they made in my neck hurts a little, and honestly, more than anything else, the pressure from the jaw band is the worst;ㅎ Because of the jaw band, the area behind my ears and my lips feel like they’re going to turn inside out;;ㅎ Weirdly, I’m not very hungry, so over the two days of Wednesday and Thursday, all I drank was about 1/3 of a bottle of soy milk. But when I came home today, I was craving all kinds of drinks from the fridge, so I had grape juice, Capri-Sun, and tomato juiceㅎ By the way, when can I start cold compresses or warm compresses? Today is day 3, and I had just been wearing the jaw band continuously at the hospital^^; They say beef bone broth helps bones knit together well, so would it be better if I let it cool before drinking it? I don’t know if everyone who had surgery will relate, but this is the one thing that has been the hardest for me after surgery. ‘It feels like I’m on my period from my mouth;;’ It really feels exactly like that. Spitting out blood has such a disgusting smell, and it’s hard to deal with, I guess?; It’s hard to gargle, so I’m just going to stop eating anything and only drink water; When can I wash my face, and when can I brush my teeth / wash my hair / shower?; Usually I don’t even wash up that well, but suddenly I’m suffering like crazy;;;ㅎ I feel so relieved and happy that I can say everything I want here in this communityㅎ My family doesn’t really share the same understandingㅠ Hehe~ then I’ll drop by again!
