Day 3 after square jaw surgery

I finally got discharged and came home. At first, before the surgery, they inserted the IV needle and fixed my arm in place, and I got scared.. I wondered if I should yell, "Stop!!".. Then the anesthesiologist said, "You’ll start feeling sleepy..." and at the same time my vision started getting blurry, and 2 hours later I woke up hearing the nurse say, "You’re coming around." At that time the anesthesia hadn’t fully worn off yet, so I couldn’t see well.. My eyesight is really bad to begin with too.. lol My arms and legs wouldn’t listen to me.. I’d seen stuff on TV too, so.. I got scared.. I whined a lot to the nurse that my legs wouldn’t listen to me.. lol Then she said it would be okay after about 30 minutes.. A few minutes later the nurse said, "You’re a bit better now," but my legs still wouldn’t move the way I wanted.. I was really terrified and cried out that I couldn’t lift my legs, but soon after, I could move them freely lol On the first day, my lips were just a bit swollen, so I thought, well, if it’s this much.. it’s manageable. But my throat was getting so dry it felt like it was burning, and I thought I was going crazy.. That was the hardest part. lol I originally have allergic rhinitis, so I’m the type who gets phlegm easily and my nose gets blocked often too. When I slept, I’d fall asleep for about 30 minutes, then phlegm would get caught in my throat and I’d wake up coughing! Then I’d drink water, and I got a little scared that if I slept deeply like this, I might suffocate and die, so I even asked the nurse a dumb question like, "I’m not going to die, right??".. lol I kept waking up every 30 minutes to drink water, then every hour, and by morning my throat felt less dry and I was able to sleep more comfortably.. As for eating, I only drank water. My surgery ended at 6 p.m., and I wasn’t particularly hungry.. lol On the morning of the second day, I had banana milk, drank porridge my mom made for me through a straw, and had a milkshake.. By the afternoon, the swelling was seriously no joke lol I’m not sure about my upper lip, but my lower lip is almost folded in half lol and drool keeps dripping through the gap ㅡㅡ;; Has anyone else had this?? I kept wiping it off lol I had to force it closed for my mouth to shut.. lol I slept fairly comfortably too.. But I couldn’t sleep 4-5 hours straight.. Maybe because it wasn’t my own home.. lol I woke up every 2 hours, checked the time, then fell right back asleep, and that’s how I slept.. Now it’s day threeㅡlol I still haven’t checked my jaw. Even when they took off the bandage, I was too scared to look.. I was worried my jaw might look strange.. timid ㅡㅜ That won’t happen, right.. lol The swelling is similar to yesterday. The doctor and nurses said I didn’t swell much. It does feel like something they routinely say, but since it’s day 3 and it seems a bit less than yesterday, I’m pretty satisfied. lol On the second night, my lips were seriously like one whole sausage lol Now my lips are about half of what they were yesterday.. lol My blood drain was connected below my ear, and after they removed the blood drain, they pinched that area with something like a stapler, and it hurt so much ㅡㅜ Also, from the first day, I kept touching my lips and under my chin in case I had no sensation, and I’m so relieved that I have feeling everywhere. lol Anyway, after surgery, when my legs wouldn’t move and when I was in pain sleeping at night, I seriously thought, why did I do this.. I just wanted to turn back time... The swelling should go down more by tomorrow... I’m just trying to think positively like that.. Time passes quickly anyway.. lol
