I finally had double eyelid surgery. I went to consultations at 9 places and was debating between two of them, then requested a second consultation, had it at one place, and without going to the other one, I scheduled the date right away. On the day I was supposed to have surgery, I happened to get body aches from a cold and even tonsillitis, and because I had a fever, I postponed it again and again.. Even then I had a slight fever, and the director said this wasn't surgery because I was sick, so let's do it when I'm in good condition, and after I rest well and the fever goes down a bit, we can do the surgery. I insisted that I wanted to do it.. If I hadn't listened to the director and had it done that day, it could have been really bad. I started getting sick from that day and barely survived lol Finally, I had surgery today.^^ Last night something bad happened, so I cried quite a lot. My eyes were swollen badly, so I tried to reduce the swelling from the morning, but it wouldn't go down, so I ended up going to the clinic with swollen eyes. The nurse and the manager asked if I had come with even smaller eyesㅠㅠ The director said it wouldn't be a major problem, but if I didn't feel comfortable, it would be fine to do it tomorrow.. But I insisted that I had to do it today, so in the end I went to the operating table..^^ The director said he would take the swelling into account while doing it. The surgery started with epicanthoplasty first, then proceeded to double eyelids. First, they put eye drops in my eyes and I waited a bit, then I got anesthetic injections. I had heard a lot that anesthetic injections hurt, so I was scared.. Honestly, because of all the talk that it hurts, I got really frightened, so it felt especially more painful. After getting 3 to 4 shots on one side, the other eye only felt like a little sting. Don't be too scared of the anesthetic injections.^^ The nurse massaged it for about 5 minutes so the anesthetic medicine would spread. Honestly, up until then I kept thinking to myself many times that celebrities are really amazing. Even double eyelid surgery, which people say hardly counts as surgery these days;;, was my first time, and I was scared and nervous, but celebrities don't just do double eyelids, they even have major work done several times... It was magic epicanthoplasty.. I think the epicanthoplasty alone took about 1 hour.. The doctor seemed very meticulous. Then anesthesia started again for the double eyelids! It hurt less than the anesthetic injections for the epicanthoplasty. I could tolerate it without even groaning. (I'm so scared that I'd rather take more medicine than get a shot..;;) There were soft cutting sounds.. They did suction (is that right?) too.. and it seemed like they were cauterizing.. Because of the anesthesia, I couldn't feel pain and only knew what was happening from the sounds. For the stitching, I could feel very slight movements back and forth, but I couldn't tell exactly where they were stitching. Since they were using suction often.. I asked, am I bleeding a lot..? Then they said it was because of sagging skin.. lol At other clinics too, and also at the clinic where I had it done, they said partial incision would be possible, but because I knew I had sagging skin, I chose full incision. But when they were making the double eyelid, it hurt a bit ㅠ.ㅠ A little more stinging than the anesthetic injection.. So I was really worried that maybe the anesthesia had worn off, but they said it normally hurts when making the double eyelid.. After that they stitched it.. I fell asleep while they were stitching me ㅡ,.ㅡ;;;;;;; When I looked in the mirror, there was some swelling, but I'm satisfied.^^ Partly because I finally fulfilled a wish, and because the director did it meticulously, I personally think it will look pretty once the swelling goes down lololol The nurse and manager also said that once the swelling goes down, it seems like it will come out the way I wanted.^^ The older sister who came with me also said it looks like it will be pretty once the swelling goes down, hehe.. I expected swelling after double eyelid surgery, so it doesn't bother me much~ The surgery took over 2 hours. About 2 hours and 30 minutes.. Right now I have tape on, and I'm going on Saturday for disinfection. They told me to keep the tape on until then. I heard they will remove the epicanthoplasty stitches around 6 days later, and the double eyelid stitches around 8 to 10 days later. I'll remove the tape, get the stitches out, and upload photos.^^* Honestly, it wasn't a clinic famous in this community, so I was worried too, but for others who are going to have surgery, I hope you all go to consultations in person and choose the clinic that feels right to you..^^ I need to do cold compresses.. But after surgery I was out and about and just got home now;;;; I don't know if this is okay ㅡㅜ Will it be enough if I do cold compresses and just drink pumpkin juice..?
