Can I avoid cartilage repositioning?

It’s been over 20 years since I had surgery, and at the time I thought they had slightly shaved down a hump and inserted silicone. But for the past few years, the silicone showing through has been so severe that I kept worrying about it. Recently, I went to a hospital and had a CT scan, and they said the hump had not been shaved down back then. I have straight silicone inserted from the bridge to the nasal tip. It’s a straight silicone implant that gets thicker toward the nasal tip. I’ve been to two hospitals, and both said it would be best to remove it quickly, and because the silicone has been in for too long and the skin has become thin, when removing it, they would put dermis only in the nasal tip…
