I had 3 mm silicone and a septal cartilage support placed, and had it done around 5 years ago. My original nose was small and short, so even before surgery they had said it wasn’t a nose that could take silicone, but the columella really got longer and it didn’t suit me, so after completing 6 months I had it removed. The surgeons all looked at my pre-op photos and confidently said we should do a complete removal, and said I would go back to my original nose. I also think it’s exactly my old nose.
