For contracted noses, I personally don’t recommend weak support materials..

This is what I thought after getting contracted-nose correction: basically, if you had your septal cartilage harvested and used during a previous nose surgery, I recommend using autologous costal cartilage if possible. Even while having surgery at R U, I repeatedly looked at the CT and had it explained to me, but once septal cartilage has already been harvested, from that point there is no guarantee it will stay 100% firmly and well supported, and its safety is reduced. Contracture itself often involves severe shape deformation, so if you want to have surgery with cartilage or something else, it’s hard to avoid lower satisfaction or problems with redeformation.
