At first, I started lightly with septal cartilage, but after revision, another revision, and yet another revision, I ended up harvesting autologous costal cartilage and then switching again to donor rib cartilage. It’s been such a mess haha. I also had my hump shaved down and had osteotomy done. I don’t even know how many times my nose has been opened up. From the very beginning, they said the cartilage would show through and that it would be absorbed, and I knew that too. Still, I thought maybe I would be spared, but I don’t want to live with this much anxiety. Even if I go back to my original nose, I think that would be better. So I came to this community, reflecting on my past self.
