I went to the hospital for a deviated septum, and the hospital said it was severe. They said that while doing septal surgery, they would also do nasal valve reconstruction, and because my nose is crooked and has a dorsal hump, they would perform osteotomy and use septal cartilage for the nasal tip. But the hump doesn’t bother me, and I only want to do something about the crookedness, so hearing that I need osteotomy is kind of scary. Even when I look in the mirror, it seems like only the soft part under the nasal bone is crooked, and that part must be cartilage, right? If it’s crooked because of the cartilage sideㅜ do I really have to go as far as osteotomy on the bone?
