Protruding mouth surgery review. (Day 2)

I finally had the surgery =_=ㅋㅋ Time really is fast and scary;; It feels like yesterday that I posted saying I was having surgery in 2 weeks, but I’ve already finished the surgery and am lying at home ^^ Then I’ll start writing my review now ^ -^ [First, the day of surgery] I was so, so nervous and scared - My surgery was at 3, but the person before me hadn’t finished yet, so I think I waited about 30 minutes... That trembling during the waiting time, haha I went with my mother, so that was still quite comforting - ㅠ_ㅠ Finally, I guess the time for surgery had come. The nurse called my name, and I was getting an IV in a regular hospital room.. When I asked, she said I would go to the operating room in 10 minutes - Wow, truly a situation I couldn’t get out of.. I was really so scared- How did time pass so quickly.. The nurse said, “We’re moving you to the operating room,” and I lay down on the operating table =_= First they gave antibiotics.. and then put in the anesthetic - I was really so scared of general anesthesia! Before the anesthesia, I cried out to the nurse like crazy, “What if anesthesia doesn’t work on me ㅠ_ㅠ What if I wake up in the middle ㅠㅠ”;; Then the nurse said: “If the anesthesia doesn’t work, you’ll be on the front page of the newspaper - ^^ Don’t worry, I’ve never seen anyone anesthesia didn’t work on.” That made me feel a little relieved, haha. I’m really easily influenced;; Anyway, the anesthesiologist asked me this and that while inducing anesthesia - When I said, “Doctor, when are you going to anesthetize me?” they even joked, “Why~ do you have plans after surgery? ^^”;; I think the anesthetic went in while I was laughing - Starting from my left arm, something cold and tingling came in, then my head got heavy and my ears were ringing... It was only for a moment, but it didn’t feel that good - Then I woke up from sleep.. [After surgery] My mom was smiling - Other people say they feel nauseated after anesthesia, but I didn’t have any of that at all;; After waking from anesthesia, I unconsciously looked for a mirror and then slept =_= I must have been very sleepy =_= How could I think of sleeping in that state, honestly =_= My face seemed less swollen than I expected - Maybe because it was the first day - I had 6.5 mm on the upper jaw, 3.5 mm on the lower jaw, and 3 mm on the chin tip. Other people say they have no pain on the first day, but when it became dawn, I was in so much pain ㅠ_ㅠ I couldn’t sleep;; And the roof of my mouth was really bumpy;; hot and burning..ㅠㅠ It felt strange because I had no sensation in my front teeth or chin.. and scary; So the nurse came in and gave me painkillers too.. I felt so sorry because she must have been sleepy;; After that, I think it got a little better - My shaved jaw felt kind of cold and aching;; [The next day] I slept all day! I woke up and received treatment briefly - disinfecting the surgical area - (It doesn’t hurt at all when they disinfect it -) When I woke up, I was more swollen;; steamed-bun girl;; Maybe because my cheeks turned red from the ice packs, I looked even more like Auntie Hoho & bun girl;; The doctor said I wasn’t very swollen, but hmm;;ㅋㅋ Then I slept for 10 hours - Oh right! I stayed hospitalized one extra day - I just thought being at the hospital would be better... haha Since I slept a lot during the day, there was nothing to do.. and thanks to the painkillers it didn’t hurt... The hospital became my home =_= I used the internet, played games =_= watched TV.. and another day passed like that - My face is still a steamed bun - [Today] I thought today was the 3rd day after surgery, but the director said the day of surgery counts as day 0, haha, so today is day 2.. My surgery also ended at 8 p.m. - They removed the pain-control injection - removed the antibiotics from inside my nose (<- It hurt so much ㅠ_ㅠ) disinfected me, and I came home - Oh right. This morning I ran into someone at the hospital who was having protruding mouth surgery today, and they recognized me, saying, “Are you perhaps the person who posted on the site that you were doing it today?” haha. I felt kind of embarrassed;; But it was nice to meet them, haha. Have a good surgery ^^ Now I’ll gargle and take good care of myself at home for 2 days, and the day after tomorrow I’ll go get the tape removed - Today my face is still a steamed bun ㅠ_ㅠ I have to go to school next Monday, so I’m really worried - If it doesn’t work out, I’ll just wear a hat, I guess, haha But today the inside of my mouth aches quite a lot - My jaw hurts too Still, I guess I have to endure this much pain - because my mouth has really gone in a lot - Right now it’s swollen so I can’t know for sure, but I really like my side profile - I’ll upload a photo right after surgery above, and once the swelling goes down, I’ll upload one more - then with a prettier appearance - haha Those who are planning protruding mouth surgery or thinking about it, ask lots of questions and fighting ^ -^
