Review of incisional double eyelid + epicanthoplasty surgery.

For some reason, it feels like posts that aren’t reviews keep getting posted on this board. I have a bad feeling; I hope everyone clearly separates the nature of their posts; It’s now day 5 after surgery. Today is the day I go to have my stitches removed, so I’m going to try writing this from memory. First, to describe the condition of my eyes, they were the worst kind of eyes. My eyes were judged 100% as ptosis at other hospitals. I opened my eyes with my forehead, had a lot of sagging skin and fat, a 4 cm distance between the eyes, and short horizontal eye length. They were eyes with quite severe unfavorable conditions -_- It would have been nice if it ended there, but my outer eye corners are very slightly upturned too; I made up my mind and started going to consultations, but there was no hospital anywhere that gave a simple consultation. Every single one, without exception, poured out harsh criticism. The unfavorable conditions are severe; even with incision, it could come undone. Because there is ptosis, the muscle needs to be strengthened; since the outer corners are upturned, let’s do lateral canthoplasty as much as possible. Even if epicanthoplasty is done, there is a high chance it will reattach. .........-┏ crunch. After receiving consultations at other hospitals, I had a consultation at the hospital where I ended up having surgery, and there they flatly said, [It is not ptosis]. They said the reason it looked like ptosis was because of the sagging skin. Because other hospitals had all said it would be very difficult, when the doctor spoke confidently and answered refreshingly, saying, “It’s not a major surgery, so you don’t need to worry,” my conviction and trust definitely built up at once (sparkle). When I cautiously said, other hospitals said it was ptosis, the doctor said that even though they are all doctors, many others mistake sagging skin or habits for ptosis. That made me even more (sparkle sparkle). In the end, when every other hospital said it was ptosis, I chose the only place that said it wasn’t -_- and had surgery there. ...Thinking about it now, it really does seem like quite a bold decision;; - The day of surgery. First, this hospital applies anesthetic cream before local anesthesia and then does the anesthesia, so as soon as I arrived at the hospital, I applied the anesthetic cream and waited. The director came out and said, “Let’s do this well,” which made me weirdly moved -_-, and after taking a few photos before surgery, I lay straight down on the operating table. The scariest moment was when, like those tights outfits from Infinite Challenge, only my face was left exposed in a circle and the rest was covered with something. That moment was so frightening TㅁT!! On top of that, the scariest thing was! the sunflower-shaped light that often appears in hospital dramas (-_-;?). You know, the flower-shaped one. The lit-up lights that are placed close to the patient’s face; It was fascinating, but scary. Ah. Even though it’s double eyelid surgery, surgery is still surgery, I thought. Many people said the anesthetic injections hurt, and I’m especially sensitive to pain compared with other people (like when getting my ears pierced;), so I was worried, but thanks to the anesthetic cream, it really didn’t hurt at all haha. The nurse said, “Anesthesia is going in, it will sting,” but it didn’t sting at all -_-♥ After that she said again, “We’re stopping the bleeding; you’ll smell something burning.” That squid-burning smell I had only heard about really did appear. I was startled. Only then did I think, ah, they’ve already made the incision, and felt relieved. But the problem started from here. No matter how much I tried to focus on the music they played, I couldn’t concentrate; It wasn’t pain at all, but a somewhat unpleasant sensation, the feeling of my eye being pulled, the feeling of something being scraped out (huh?), these things felt so vivid that it was really unbearable, pant pant -_- After inwardly whimpering and shouting countless times that I wished it would end, only then did the surgery finally end.......OTL Of course, this was after countless repetitions of opening and closing my eyes, then lying down, sitting up again to check, and lying down again; - After surgery, when I looked in the mirror, as expected, I was extremely swollen. My skin is also on the thicker side, and because I had heard that there was a lot of fat and sagging skin to remove, so the surgery time would take longer, it was easier for me to accept the way my eyes looked; Also, I had seen so many eyes immediately after surgery in this community ^^; As a result, I’m currently quite satisfied with my eyes. My eyes open so cleanly that I wonder what would have happened if I had had ptosis surgery, and now, even if I try to put strength into my forehead, I can’t /ㅁ/ㅁ/ㅁ/ The distance between my eyes, which was 4 cm, has clearly decreased to about 3.5 cm, so my eyes look much more open. The sausage-like swelling is a bit severe, but I believe it will all go down after the stitches are removed. Actually, when I think about how much harder it would have been if I had paid more and had ptosis surgery, I tremble and also laugh for no reason. Everyone, please go to consultations carefully, and I hope you choose a good hospital.
