Complete removal - silicone and ear cartilage at the nasal tip, performed through an open approach. S.S.Y. Opinion of inflammation, only palpation done. Remove only the silicone. If contracture occurs, because my own tissue should be used as much as possible, leave the ear cartilage in place. If the chin becomes indented, they would adjust it. The reason for using a closed approach is also because of the inflammation, to avoid touching tissue as much as possible and to improve self-healing recovery. G.Y.S.
