Even after deciding on removal, when I hear certain explanations, I start thinking, yes, reconstruction could be good too, dermis and autologous costal cartilage could be good too. So if complications occurred due to inflammatory contracture, would you choose to completely reconstruct with dermis from scratch, or remove the silicone and correct it using the existing cartilage? They said there could be step-offs and depressions, and that they may not be able to fully bring down an upturned nose. What decision do you think you would make?
