While looking into revision rhinoplasty, I was also recommended functional nose surgery for a deviated septum, so I’ve been studying it. What I’m curious about is that they say you need to correct the deviated septum at the same time so the nose won’t bend later. But then, even in someone who hasn’t had nose surgery, if their nasal septum becomes deviated over time later on to the same degree, that doesn’t necessarily mean that person’s nose has to become crooked too, right? Are they saying that as the nose gets higher, the deviated septum can’t withstand the force and bends more? If it’s not anything like that, then the only way I can understand it is that it’s just being done to make nasal breathing more comfortable. Desk research has its limits, so ENT…
