Thank you so much for leaving so many replies.. and giving me courage. Thanks to you, I went to the clinic on Monday, steeled myself, and strongly stated my opinion once again.. The doctor kept saying it couldn’t be done, but under the condition that there would be no refund, and after I signed a pledge saying I would not raise any issues about dissatisfaction after the removal, he told me to lie down on the operating table right away, so I had it removed that day -_-; - - - Implant removal surgery review - - - Before going into surgery, I said just one thing. "Please do it well so I don’t get a scar.." The first surgery had also been open rhinoplasty, so it was only natural that I was worried about opening up the same incision again after just one month. It took a little under an hour to remove all of the silicone, AlloDerm, and the sutures tying the cartilage. During the surgery there was so much bleeding that the doctor seemed a little flustered. Soon there was a smell like squid grilling. I think he probably cauterized the blood vessels to stop the bleeding. A few capillaries were sacrificed,, my poor nose.. I’m sorry.ㅠㅠ;; By the time he was suturing at the end, maybe the anesthesia was wearing off, because I could feel the needle poking into raw flesh exactly as it was. I wanted to scream, but I was afraid the doctor would be startled and mess up the most important suturing, so I just quietly grimaced. When I asked later, they said that with revision surgery, because you develop resistance to the medication, the anesthesia wears off quickly..;; After the surgery ended,, before they put the tape on, I asked the nurse for a mirror. Hoping desperately that I could meet the version of myself from a month ago again through the mirror, I looked..., The low bridge and broad, rounded nasal tip looked like my original self. Maybe because I was glad to meet my old face again, or because of the memories of the painful month, I felt like I was going to cry. But my nostrils were still pointed like right triangles. -_-;; "My nostrils are still pointy." The nurse said that since everything had been removed, the nostrils would gradually loosen and become rounder too.. She encouraged me, saying the flesh doesn’t suddenly go poof and return all at once. I wanted to believe her, but I was scared;;; As the nurse was putting on the tape, she said "Actually, your original nose was pretty too.. you could have seen results even with a petit procedure, but you went through all this for nothing.." ....At that moment, tears streamed down. "Back then,, why didn’t you stop me..." "I did say it.. When you first came in, I kept telling you that your nose was a pretty nose.. But at that time, no matter what anyone says, you can’t hear it.." She was right. The moment she said it, the memory passed through my mind like a projector. The nurse who had told me my low nose was pretty when I came for a consultation a month ago, and my mom beside her, putting down the deposit and quietly saying, they’re saying your nose is pretty even without surgery.. I really regret it but,, even if I went back to a month ago, if I were the person I was then, I think I would have had the surgery again. Back then I was full of the fantasy that cosmetic surgery would make my nose wonderful, like some kind of magic, and I wasn’t satisfied with my low nose. Actually, looking at it now, it’s just not high; it’s not a nose that feels that low~ to me.. After suffering through surgery and returning to my old nose, I’m now satisfied with my current low nose. I’m also now satisfied with the shape of my face, which I had been determined to shave down someday. I’m satisfied with my eyes too, even though my double eyelids are faint. I had implants put in and taken out, suffered as much as suffering can be, wasted time and threw away 2.1 million won, and I do think, what kind of ridiculous show was this,, but I try hard to comfort myself by thinking that the 2.1 million won and the pain taught me and made me think about many things. I gained pride in my original face, let go of big greed, and learned how to be satisfied with reality and find happiness. I realized again that doctors are human too, and the love of family, and I also came to think about myself, someone who can’t understand anything unless I experience it. Talking like this, I even feel like I’ve reached some kind of enlightenment ㅡㅡ;; - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Anyway, now that everything has been removed, I feel relieved inside~ Today is day 3.. I gently peeled up the tape and it seemed like my nostrils had become a bit rounder,, It feels like they went from right triangles to about right trapezoids..;; On day 3 after cosmetic surgery, I couldn’t sleep on my side because I was afraid the implant would become crooked, but now I don’t have to worry about that and can sleep on my side however I want, so it’s comfortable..ㅎ The bridge of my nose, which I worried might become floppy if the silicone was removed, is fine too.. Now I just have to hope the open rhinoplasty wound heals well. I’ll post another review after the stitches are removed..^^ There don’t seem to be many reviews about removal here..ㅎ
