It’s exactly day 25 since my nose surgery, and the surgery itself turned out really well, just how I like it. Alar reduction and silicone nasal bridge implant. But of course, a scar incision line remains where the alar reduction was done. At first, after surgery, the director prescribed Ocuflox ophthalmic ointment and told me to apply it to that scar. But I’ve used it all up, and the incision line on the left alar side is okay, but the right incision line is still slightly open, so I want to apply ointment. In this case, would it be better to see a board-certified dermatologist and get a different ointment prescribed, or go to the plastic surgery clinic where I had the surgery and get a prescription?
