Before removal, the silicone was bent and I had tenderness, tightness, and other symptoms. Then 4 days before removal, the area from the glabella to the outer corner of the eye suddenly became red, so I took antibiotics from an ENT clinic. It has now been almost 2 months since I had 20-year-old silicone, capsule, and ear cartilage removed by a closed approach. Even after surgery, the sensations like tenderness have improved somewhat, but they are still there. I have been thinking it is part of the wound-healing process because even the capsule was removed, but I am slightly suspicious that the calcified capsule may not have been fully removed. They did say they would remove the capsule in one piece, but it feels like the glabella area was not removed, and I wonder if pain is there because calcified capsule remains in that area.
