Time really flies. It feels like just yesterday I had surgery and was barely moving around.. After deciding on protruded-chin surgery, what I debated was osteotomy? or implant? Since I had a severe protruded chin, I chose osteotomy. With osteotomy, your own chin is advanced forward, so there is no foreign-body sensation. And because the chin moves often while eating.. I heard that if a large implant is placed, there is a risk of bone erosion after a few years. Implant - no swelling right away.. and it's a simple surgery. It's fine for a protruded chin that isn't severe. What matters isn't whether it's osteotomy or an implant.. If you get it done well by a skilled doctor.. whatever surgery it is.. you probably won't have major side effects. But theoretically, please know that osteotomy is more beneficial long-term than an implant. Day of surgery - I lack exercise and my stamina is weak, so after general anesthesia.. I was groggy for several hours^^ A young woman who had surgery before me was completely fine after surgery... Only I was like that... Still, most people will probably be okay. After surgery, they only put tape on the tip of the chin. For about 3 days, I couldn't open my mouth wide, so I ate porridge. After 3 days, I could chew and eat most things. After a week, I could eat rice as usual. The hospital gives 10 days' worth of medicine. Maybe because I took the medicine properly, I had no chin pain or pain at all. On the first day, I told the doctor that even if he made me look like Kim Hee-sun, I could never do this again.. But now, if I had to do it again, I think I could.ㅋ About 10 days after surgery, I wore a hat and met a friend, and she said I had gotten very pretty and that the surgery went well. I had a really severe protruded chin - fish-like mouth.. looked blank.. anyway.. People used to tease me and laugh, saying when I was just staying still, did I have a complaint against society.. Fat grafting - when I consulted about shaving my cheekbones, the doctor said that the area above my cheekbones was hollow, so they looked more protruded, and recommended fat grafting. He said that because my face is long, doing the cheekbones and protruded chin could have the side effect of making my face look too long.. I went to consultations at a few places, and when I said, please shave my cheekbones, please do my chin, the doctors just said unconditionally that it would improve if I did it.. But this doctor pointed out and explained exactly how things could actually get worse after surgery.. so I trusted him. Other hospitals recommended protruding-mouth surgery.. cheekbone reduction.. this and that.. and said that if I did surgeries separately later, there would be no discount... that I had to do them together to get a discount.. They kind of pushed surgery.. But here, if I said I wanted to do things here and there, they actually scolded me.ㅡ.ㅡ Fat grafting - people say fat gets absorbed.. that it's a waste of money.. so I debated whether to do it or not.. But I heard that with fat grafting.. some people retain a lot, even more than half, so I tried it once.^^ Thinking maybe I might be the type who retains a lot.^^ They say that with fat grafting too, if the hospital's technique is good and depending on your constitution, a lot can remain. Anyway.. after surgery.. my own older brother asked, are you really my younger sister? He laughed, saying he wouldn't recognize me if he saw me on the street. My mom also keeps looking at my face and saying.. my daughter.. you're pretty... every day, so now I'm getting tired of it..^^;; My friends also say I've gotten prettier. The best thing is.. it looks good, I have no chin pain, and it seems to have settled well with no side effects, so I'm happy. For those who have decided on surgery.. Please make sure to have surgery at a hospital specializing in facial contouring. There are many hospitals around Apgujeong-dong or Gangnam Station. I went to a total of 4 hospital consultations. If you go to too many, you'll get neurotic. Every hospital says completely different things. Two places told me that because I had a typical protruding mouth, just doing the protruded chin would have no effect. They said I needed protruding-mouth surgery, protruded-chin surgery, and cheekbone surgery too. - But even though this is an appearance-centered society, I'm not going to become a celebrity.. I felt sorry for my face being put through so much, so I gave up on protruding-mouth surgery... I still think I did the right thing. The surgery costs were also.. protruding-mouth surgery 10 million won - osteotomy 2-3 million won. Cheekbones 3 million won. Orthodontic costs around 3 million won. If you don't have a severe protruding mouth, protruded-chin surgery plus paranasal augmentation can make the mouth look much more set back. This time, I filled the paranasal area with fat. And I saw photos of people who became dramatically prettier after protruding-mouth surgery.. Seeing that made me tempted to have surgery too. With protruding-mouth surgery, the problem is putting it too far in.. not failing to put it in enough, they say. Also, the philtrum between the nose and lips can get longer.. so you may look older.. Those considering surgery, please keep that in mind. I had protruded-chin surgery with a single-step osteotomy. I think a single-step osteotomy advances it once, and a two-step osteotomy advances it twice. Even though I had single-step, the effect is huge. The doctor said he advanced it diagonally upward because he was worried my face would look longer. Maybe because I had double-eyelid revision surgery, protruded-chin surgery, and fat grafting, now that 15 days have passed.. when I wake up after sleeping, my face looks a little prettier each time. I'm 27 years old... I regret not doing it sooner.^^;;
