I originally had a crooked nose and even had revision surgery, but it keeps becoming crooked over time, so I’m just planning to remove it. When I went to the hospital, they said that if I want surgery for the crooked nose, they could harvest costal cartilage and use reinforcement surgery to support it. Has anyone had this surgery? Even if it’s autologous costal cartilage, I’m removing it because having something in there feels uncomfortable, so I’m worried that if costal cartilage is put in again, there could be side effects or a foreign-body sensation, or since the nose won’t be raised and may only widen sideways, it might look bulky.
