2 years ago, I got rhinoplasty without knowing much and without looking into it properly. The hospital said that if they used ear cartilage, recovery would be slow, painful, uncomfortable, and so on, and they didn’t really talk about autologous cartilage. They said they would put artificial cartilage in the nasal tip. I thought that was a good thing and went ahead with it, but after looking into it recently, people say the nasal tip is usually done with autologous tissue. I got scared and asked the hospital, and they said they used septal cartilage and Medpor.
