I used silicone for 6 years, but the foreign-body sensation never went away, so I’m thinking about removal. They say you can use it for over 10 years too, but honestly, I don’t really trust that. The place where I had my first nose surgery only checked my progress in a vague way, like, "It’s reasonably okay, yes, not bad," and they said there was nothing wrong, but I’ve had nosebleeds a few times and went to the hospital for treatment. They said it was just a slight inflammation and that it would get better if I took anti-inflammatory painkillers, but I don’t think it really did, so I’m thinking of removing it and keeping only the line with an implant-free surgery.
