It had been 5 years since I had surgery with silicone and ear cartilage when I developed inflammation and contracture, so I removed only the silicone and decided to have revision surgery 6 months later. But the contracture wasn’t extremely severe in its own way, and the thought of opening up my nose and having surgery again was awful, so I didn’t get revision surgery and just forgot about plastic surgery itself for over 2 years.
