I understand it was silicone and ear cartilage, but it’s been so long, 12 years, that I don’t know if there are other materials, and it feels hard to say for sure that it’s only those two. In this case, would it be better to just have the surgery with an open approach? One place said a closed approach is possible, and another place said it would be certain only if they do an open approach I’m hesitant about the open approach because of the scar, so I’m torn.
